Animal Crossing New Leaf Review
By: Kenley Hall
I am going to try something different for this review. As I do not think Animal Crossing is a normal game. So instead of judging each individual aspect. I am just going to write my thoughts about the game down and then assign a score. So here we go.
The Animal Crossing series is a bizarre one. You are a human living in a town of animals. It is a game of menial tasks, there is no end game, no big quest, no fights, no puzzles, no real goal, other then ones you set for yourself. The gameplay consists of fishing, catching bugs, digging up fossils, pulling weeds, selling and buying things, and making outfits. New to this entry is the fact that you are the mayor. Which gives you town customization capabilities and thats awesome. This game/series is unique in the fact that you either get it or you don’t. If you get it you can easily lose hundreds of hours in this game. If you don’t well the game is not for you. You might play for 10 minutes and get bored and thats the extent of your playtime if you do not get the game. The game is also a lot of fun online with friends. There is a fun island with multiplayer minigames to try as well. I love this series its probably the 2nd most suited for handhelds game Nintendo makes right after Pokemon. It is a joyous game. I get lost in this game. It is a game I can play for years. I have said as much as I can. It is just extremely great.
Final Score 9.8 out of 10
